Relaxed Morning Hotel Peter and Paul Wedding
Are you looking for a jaw-dropping New Orleans wedding venue? A Hotel Peter and Paul wedding is elegant, but it doesn’t have to be complicated. Jordan and Paula’s morning elopement is a perfect example of how to have a more relaxed experience in this incredible space.
Hotel Peter and Paul: An Elegant New Orleans Wedding Venue
Since Hotel Peter and Paul opened a few years ago, it has become an iconic New Orleans wedding venue. The former Catholic school and church was built in the 1860s. It has all the grand architectural details that you could want. The hotel’s decor is also absolutely beautiful with elegant colors and furnishings.
Weddings take place in the former church. The hoteliers who renovated the property preserved the original woodwork and the breathtaking scale. Subtle blues and pinks color the walls. It’s easy to get swept away by the romantic atmosphere.
A Hotel Peter and Paul wedding can be on the expensive side for New Orleans. Weekend packages can cost upwards of $11,000. If you want to have a micro wedding or elopement like Paula and Jordan, though, you’re in luck! Hotel Peter and Paul offers weekday morning packages that range between $1500 and $2500. This makes the stunning venue much more accessible.
You just have to look at Jordan and Paula’s photos to see that a morning wedding at Hotel Peter and Paul doesn’t feel like a compromise. The morning light here is incredible! At noon, the sun streamed right through the windows above the balcony and created the dreamiest light. It lit up the patina mirrors. Some of my favorite portraits were taken using the reflections in this mirror.
Jordan and Paula’s Relaxed Morning Wedding
I’ve been lucky to know Paula and Jordan for a couple of years. We met at a mutual friend’s dinner party, and I immediately enjoyed talking with Paula. When they inquired with me to photograph their Hotel Peter and Paul wedding, I was ecstatic and very honored.
Paula and Jordan love to make each other laugh, and they have a laidback energy. A more lowkey morning wedding aligned with them in that way. They kept things simple but beautiful. The dress that Paula thrifted from Ms. Claudia’s Vintage went well with the old school elegance of the venue.
Hotel Peter and Paul has such beautiful rooms that we did the first look there. We made our way to the ceremony space for portraits and took advantage of the golden light. The photos with Paula and Jordan’s family and friends were just as special. With such a small guest list, you could see how important every person was to them.
