Colorful New Orleans Botanical Garden Wedding

There’s nothing like a garden wedding to enjoy New Orleans’ tropical beauty. Becca and Ethan’s colorful New Orleans Botanical Garden wedding embraced vintage-inspired decor. Their community celebrated the newlyweds enthusiastically, and the day was full of smiles.

A New Orleans Botanical Garden Wedding

New Orleans Botanical Garden is one of the most beautiful outdoor wedding venues in New Orleans. You can rent several different areas of the garden, but the Conservatory of the Two Sisters is the most popular space for receptions. It’s really unique to experience both the indoor and outdoor gardens.

A New Orleans Botanical Garden wedding has so many cool locations for portraits and different wedding day events. Becca and Ethan had their first look in the indoor garden. The way they looked at each other and started crying made me cry. Then they signed their ketubah under a vine-covered arbor where we also did family portraits. The cactus garden is such a treat to explore in this tropical climate too.

Becca and Ethan’s Vintage-Inspired Celebration

As a New Orleans wedding photographer, I get to see people on their best days. Every couple is so different. What stood out to me about Ethan and Becca’s relationship was how much he put her at ease. They adore each other. This New York couple decided to get married in New Orleans where Ethan has family. Their entire day was a blast!

This New Orleans Botanical Garden wedding drew on lots of fun vintage inspiration. Becca described their vision as “bright, fun, [and] modern” with a 70’s flair. You can see that influence in the incredibly colorful florals. Becca’s bright bouquet was what my color-loving dreams are made of. I love that they even had a rainbow of flowers hanging at the back of their chuppah for the ceremony.

At the reception, Becca and Ethan’s people were ready to get down! They waved orange and yellow ribbons under the twinkling lights while the band played. Other guests ran around with cardboard cutouts of the newlyweds’ faces. The horah was unforgettable - the perfect mix of chaos and joy on the dance floor. The whole day had such a light, joyful feeling from beginning to end.
