Welcoming Rooftop Wedding at Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh

Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh is a colorful wedding venue that puts a fun twist on its vintage decor. Best of all? It’s got a rooftop with epic views of downtown! Jan and Mia’s intimate wedding incorporated some deeply personal touches that were perfect for this unique setting.

Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh

This wedding venue is right in the middle of downtown Pittsburgh, and the views from the rooftop are epic. It really came in handy when the pandemic forced Mia and Jan to downsize their wedding plans and relocate due to COVID restrictions.

The lobby and seating areas of the hotels are just as incredible. Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh mixes vibrant vintage furniture with modern art to create lots of unexpected, fun spaces. I loved photographing couples and wedding party portraits throughout the hotel.

Whether you’re looking for a Pittsburgh wedding venue for a big celebration or a small one, Hotel Monaco has great options. The rooftop has capacity for 100 guests, but the interior can accommodate up to 200 wedding guests. Packages typically start around $25,000 with food included.

Mia and Jan’s Personal Wedding

Like I mentioned, Mia and Jan had to change their wedding plans quite a bit, but Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh ended up being a great venue for their deeply personal and welcoming wedding. They did their first look at Mellon Square, which is right outside the hotel. Then we took photos all over the gorgeous hotel.

A lot of thoughtful touches added up to a unique wedding experience. Jan and Mia are big wine aficionados. Before exchanging vows, they put their own twist on a unity ceremony by mixing a unity cocktail. It was so much fun to witness!

For the reception, banquet style seating gave guests a chance to mingle. The Farmer’s Daughter Flowers did an amazing job making the space feel especially charming with bright arrangements and beautiful candles. They created just the right mix of elegance and festiveness. It was the perfect setting for family to give heartfelt speeches and for the girls to get down to the Spice Girls at the end of the night!
